Getting nicer everyday

And I have never been happier to see warmer weather....I am sooo feeling the spring fever...now to start cleaning the house (NOT!) That would cut into scrappy time....he he he he...and my new found love for trying to perfect my skills of outdoor photography....but I know that this willl certainly take some time....here are a few to share with you...

And can you really believe that my oldest is EIGHT YEARS OLD?? Seems like just last year we bourght our lil monkey baby home with all that black fuzzy hair and he was soo snuggly...guess you gotta let go someday, right?? He took three of his buddies to Planet X and did what boys do best...ran around like mad men and spent lotsa money...but boy did they have a goooood time!!

My creating process has not slowed down in the least and I love that my mojo is here to stay....posting some layouts and cards that I did for my dt gig at Scrap n Circle! LOVE YA JERI!!!

KI MEMORIES Blog Challenge

So I just could not resist the KI Memories blog challenge to make a mini book using all KI stuff....challenge is from Elsie.....Thanks sooo much for the inspiration...I looove my lil album and so does my four year old, Averee...she has been sitting looking at it forever!!

I LooooVe Electricity!!

Never knew just how much you would miss something till it was gone......FOR THREE DAYS IT WAS GONE.....ice, rain, snow.....just miserable.....but then again this is Iowa we are talking about! We got just too much ice for those poor utility poles to handle and they just snapped off.....Yes I am talking the HUGE utility poles.....broke like toothpicks.....over 5000 of em......all I can say is I LOVE POWER!!! 3 days and three kids and 5 family members in one house huddled around a tv and a corn burner and one light.....and no hot water.....makes for a very very long event!! But we did survive, the power is back and we are bearing down for yet another bout of rain, ice, and snow! when will this end?? I WANT SPRING!! Including justa couple of pics I took from inside the porch....did not want my baby Rebel to get wet!!!

So creating was on the back burner for a few days but since then I have been going full speed ahead and havin a blast! I will be posting some new creatings starting tomorrow!!! I am soo excited to share!

HeY Jeri.......

My first official request for a felt bag is finito!!! This one's for you Jeri....I am soo hoping that you like what you see!! Got her colors that she wanted and just went to town and added lots of little touches here and there including a hand stitched handle and button to keep the bag closed! Soo hoping it works for you girl!

Any other requests out there, just throw them my way...would be happy to create a one of a kind just for you!

New bag...new use!

This one is gonna be my diaper/wipes/snacks/money/ shopping with the girlies tote! I just can't keep my hands off this felt...gives me such a sense of accomplishment since I have never once been taught how to amke these....soo free to do whatever I please!

Have been seriously considering doing some of these for friends and family and all my scrappy buddies...PERSONALIZED OF COURSE!! So if you are interested in a one of a kind, please let me know!!!!!!!

Just loving how this lil purse came out for my darling 4 year old...she has been carrying it around...think she likes it. Well I am sure there is much much more of this to come cuz it is very addictive!!

I NeeD more hours in the day.....

to JUST CATCH UP ON LIFE!

Ever get that feeling that you are sinking down into the hole of housework? Maybe it's cuz it is just soo darn cold outside that I wanna scrap and snuggle and watch movies and NOT do anything remotely close to cleaning. Maybe the warm temps next week will spark a cleaning frenzy in me.....oooh yeah.....and if any of you have the cell phone number to the cleaning fairy, let me know and I will give her a ring!

Lots and lots going on in the scrappy world tho that make me oooh sooo happy!! New stuff arriving at stores from CHA, being able to create wonderful layouts with all the goodies from my DT spots at The Scrapbook Site, Imagine, Create, Scrap, and ScrapnCircle! Making a Creative Manifesto

I was soo incrediblely inspired by Ali's newsletter for making a creative manifesto for youself, that I just dove in head first and looooved every inspiring moment of it. Who woulda thunk I could find such relevance in definitons???? I decided to call my manifesto a TesTaMent instead of the traditional manifesto.....I know not why but it fits!! Soooooo ExCiTeD!!!

Just last week i was honored with becoming a member of the design team at THE SCRAPBOOK SITE!! They are a kit site and their kits RAWK! I am sooo totally stoked and honored nad flattered and excited and elated all at the same time! Can't wait to do some inspiring and be inspired as well!!!

And lemme tell ya just how freaky cold it is here...sooo cold that school is delayed! Now that is craziness! In all my years of attending school and my years of my children attending school I can not recall a time where they delayed school due to coooold weather!! -14 this morning with a windchill of -35! BRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Good day to stay inside and scrap till my hearts' content! But can you say cabin fever????

It is sooooooo stinkin cold here! All I can think about is posting these pictures for you to get the idea of just how cold it is! LOL! And all you lucky women in Cali basking in all the CHA glory, I am soooooo envious! (specially you lil miss Jeri!!!) Just sittin here bloggin and waiting patiently for some updates on the new goodies that will be coming our way from CHA!! Anyone else as excited as me to work with new goodies?????

The wait is over....

I finally decided to reveal my SuPeR SeCReT project. I got crazy and altered some Poker chips....lemme tell ya about some small details! I tried and tried to make a clever little fabric bag for them but I failed at making anything worthy of the chips.....soooooooooooooooo........my daughter got a box of valentine's chocolates for her birthday and I decided to use this heart shaped box for my creations! The poker chips fit inside the circles just perfectly and there you have it! I am soo proud of my creation....I wanted it to have an artsy, freestyle feel to it so it might be a little whack for the traditional straight line scrapper...but I loooove it!! Thanks girls for all your comments and praise and waiting for my big reveal!! I love you all!!!

AnoTHeR SneaK PeeK of my ProJecT!!!

This is just a little sneaky peek...from this you should darn well be able to guess by now.....and if you can't well then.....I justr don't know what to tell ya! I am not revealing the whole thing till I am done and that will be some time from now! I am tryin my darndest to get it done and kids just are not cooperating....they just wanna play.....and I must play! So stayed tuned in the near future for the finished product!!!

Is this real?

Getting cold out....gonna be real cold! can't actually believe we will be in below zero temps....this winter has been seriously warm and it is soooo spoiling me and now it is going to get cold....Have I mentioned that I hate cold? Hate Hate...and I don't hate lots of things....just cold!

Tell you what....blogs inspire me...they thrill me....they wow me....they make me do things I thought I could never do! I am working on a project right now that I think is quite possible the koolest thing I have ever seen and I can see myself doing tons of this! I am not going to spill the beans just yet cuz it is something that I have never seen any of my scrapper friends attempt as of yet.....ore if they did attempt it, I have not seen it posted! Takes a lot to knock my socks off but I am floored at this! Wil post some previews for your amusement till I complete the entire project! Lemme just say I certainly found my mojo with this one and I am having the time of my life! And I have a blog to thank for that one....will reveal the blog when I reveal the project! STAY TUNED!!!

We have officially made it thru the Christmas holidays and we are all still here!! Kids were spoiled rotten of course by Santa and all the family members and are having a great time with sleeping in, playing all day, and no school!!! Just want to share with you some of the joyous pics of the season!

The black and white one is not really holiday related but I soooo had to share with you all the obsession that Averee has when I get the camera out. I barely mentioned the fact that I wanted her to give her sis a kiss and there she sat....right next to her kissing and kissing and kissing......HOW SWEET IS THAT????

One more holiday to go and it is back to life.....back to reality.......and back to normalcy for me! Been a creating machine today and just don't know for sure if I should share any??? How bout a sneak peak at Imagine, Create, Scrap's NEW KITS????? Talk about having everything at your fingertips to just create a ton of goodies! you really must check them out!!!!

Those are the majors but there have been many other Minors that I have enjoyed throughout the year! But most of all...most important is the pure joy I have gotten out of creating all the wonderful layouts! And the friendships that I have gained on the message boards is just the bestest!!! I love my cyber friends and love to be inspired by them!!! Looking foward to a very prosperous 2007 in life, love, and scrapping!!

Now on with the personals....there is not much to tell except for CHRISTMAS IS ONLY THREE DAYS AWAY! I love to see the look on our kids' faces when they come down the stairs and see what Santa has left for them....love the feeling they have when we go visit all of our family and they 'know" that they will get to play all day long with no rushing!!! After all Christmas is all about the kids, right??? creating has come to an almost standstill here due to the reckless abandonment of my creativity! I stayed up waaaay late two nights ago to finish off the kids' teachers presents and I sure hope that they went over well!! Love to create for others!

And soo little time....Averee and Brayden have their Christmas program tonight and I could not be more excited for this! Then only three more days of school and break is here....Santa still has some work to do with the stocking stuffers and wrapping and creating and all that fun stuff!! We will see what this week brings us. Kamy is finally feeling better after bi-lateral ear infection and a touch of brochitis.....what a bad spell that was for the whole family! But she is feeling sooo much better now! Off to clean the house and get busy on my piles of laundry!

ProcraSTinaTioN is a naughty word!

And I am soooo feeling the weight of Christmas coming down on me in a very negative fashion! I have waaay too much shopping to do and not enuff time to do it! How will I ever get done? I am sure that I will but stress will not be relieved till I am done!
